DiamaPro 5“ Wet/Dry Honeycomb Pad, 100 grit

Precio normal $22.00

- Coarse-grit resin polishing pad for the early resin sequence — 100 grit follows the 50-grit honeycomb pad in the standard resin progression, removing the scratch pattern left by the coarsest resin step and refining the surface toward a uniform finish. Part of DiamaPro Systems' resin polishing pad line, calibrated for cutting speed and tool life.

- Smaller 5" footprint for tight-area and detail polishing — the 5" diameter is sized for narrow edges, around columns and obstructions, on stair treads, in corners, and anywhere a 7" pad is too bulky to maneuver. The smaller pad is also easier to control on overhead work and detail polishing where operator fatigue from a heavier 7" pad becomes an issue. Choose 5" for precision work; choose 7" for production speed on open floors.

- Flexible honeycomb resin design for even pressure and dust evacuation — the hexagonal pattern molded into the pad's face creates large channels that evacuate dust during dry use and water during wet use, preventing the diamond surface from loading up. The honeycomb structure also flexes around contours and lippage, maintaining consistent contact pressure across the entire pad face — important for an even scratch pattern before progressing to finer grits.

- Wet/Dry dual-mode operation — usable in either condition: wet polishing reduces heat and extends pad life, dry polishing is more convenient on job sites without water access. Note: a 5" backing pad with hook-and-loop attachment is required to mount this pad to a 5" hand polisher (like the DiamaPro HGP-5). Do not run a 5" pad on a 7" backer — the size mismatch creates unsafe exposed hook-and-loop edges at high RPM.

- The "old floor restoration" starting point — per industry guidance, 100 grit is the recommended starting pad when revitalizing an older or moderately worn polished floor that doesn't need full re-grinding. The pad removes surface scuffs and light wear without dropping back to the metal-bond stage, making it the "minor restoration" entry point in the polishing arsenal. On a 5" pad, this is the matching step for the perimeter and detail areas — keep the edges in lockstep with the main floor's grit progression to avoid uneven gloss in the final result.
