- Aggressive metal-bond grinding pad for the first cutting pass — 30 grit is the recommended starting point for opening up the concrete, exposing medium-to-large aggregate, and removing coatings. - Quick Change trapezoid mounting for cross-platform compatibility — DiamaPro's tooling line includes adapters that let the same pad run under most major grinder brands including Husqvarna, HTC, STI, Scanmaskin, Terrco, Edco, Werkmaster, Kut Rite, and SASE. Verify your grinder uses the QC trapezoid mount before ordering — the trapezoid-back format is the most common but is not universal.

The hard Yellow bond holds the diamonds in place longer to give usable tool life on a slab that would chew through softer bonds in a fraction of the time.

- Counterintuitive but correct: hard bond on soft concrete, soft bond on hard concrete — using the wrong bond on a soft slab causes premature wear and burns through tooling budget. If pads are wearing down visibly fast on a softer slab, the bond hardness needs to move up — Yellow is the standard choice for soft concrete in the DiamaPro/Lavina-compatible system. After this 30-grit pass, the typical sequence steps up through 70 and 120-grit metals, then transitions to DiamaPro's hybrid (transitional) diamonds and resin polishing pads.
