7" Ceramic Cup Wheel 30 Grit

- Most aggressive grit in the ceramic cup wheel family — built on a 7" cup format for use with 7"-rated hand grinders and walk-behind edge machines. The 30-grit ceramic-bond surface is the starting point for edge prep, designed for the heaviest initial material removal when a coating, glue, or hard troweled surface needs to come off fast.

- The starting point in an edge polishing sequence — contractors typically recommend a 30 → 50 → 100 progression on hard concrete. Skip straight to 100 only on softer slabs; on harder mixes, the 50-grit step is needed to blend out the 30-grit cut before progressing further.

- Cuts almost as aggressively as a metal-bond cup wheel without the glazing and gouging — as long as the wheel is kept level on the surface, it removes serious scratches and tough coatings while leaving an edge that blends cleanly with the main floor. The ceramic bond eliminates the deep scratch-chasing that metal-bond wheels create.

- Larger 7" footprint for faster edge coverage — the wider diameter removes material faster than the 5" version of the same wheel, making it the preferred choice on larger commercial slabs and longer perimeter runs. The trade-off is a lower maximum operating RPM, so always verify your grinder's rated speed against the max RPM marked on the wheel.

- 5/8"-11 threaded mounting for direct grinder fit — installs on most 7"-rated hand grinders and walk-behind edgers without an adapter, flange, or backing pad. Suitable for both wet and dry grinding conditions, though dust shrouds plus a HEPA vacuum are required for indoor work under OSHA silica standard 29 CFR 1926.1153. On extremely hard troweled concrete, a metal cup wheel may still be needed for the very first pass before transitioning to ceramic for the rest of the sequence.
