Bartell 25 GRIT DOUBLE SEGMENT - GREEN SLIDE-MAG - FOR HARD TO VERY HARD CONCRETE

Regular price $44.00

- Aggressive metal-bond diamond segment for the first cutting pass — 25 grit is the standard starting point for surface prep and polishing jobs. The cutting surface opens up the concrete, removes coatings, exposes aggregate, and creates the profile needed for subsequent grinding and polishing steps.

- Bartell's proprietary Slide-Mag quick-change mounting — uses a combination of wedge compression and embedded earth magnets to keep the tooling firmly attached to the grinder regardless of material being removed. Designed specifically for Bartell grinders and other machines equipped with the Slide-Mag fastening system. Not cross-compatible with Lavina dot/button platforms or Husqvarna Redi-Lock systems — confirm your grinder uses Slide-Mag before ordering.

- Double-segment configuration for tool life and refinement — two diamond segments per shoe create more surface contact than a single segment, extending tool life and leaving a more uniform scratch pattern. Best paired with larger / heavier walk-behind grinders (25" and up) where the extra contact patch helps the machine pull weight. The smoother cut from a double segment also reduces the work needed at the next grit step.

- Engineered for hard to very hard concrete (Mohs 8+) — Bartell uses a simplified 3-color bond system distinct from the Lavina/Elite scheme: Purple for soft to medium concrete, Orange for medium to hard, Green for hard to very hard concrete (Mohs 8+, including densified slabs, high-performance industrial floors, and severely power-troweled commercial surfaces that defeat softer bonds). Bartell includes a Mohs scratch test kit with its tooling sets specifically so contractors can confirm the right color for the job.

- The last-resort bond when other tools have already glazed — green is the softest bond in the Bartell Slide-Mag range, designed to wear away aggressively so fresh diamond is continuously exposed even on slabs that would glaze every other bond. If orange tooling is glazing, green is the next escalation. If green also glazes, the alternative is reducing machine weight, slowing RPM, adding water mist, or applying silica sand to reopen the diamonds — there is no harder slab specification beyond green in the Bartell system.
