Lavina GRIT 30, QUICK CHANGE, GREY TRAPEZOID PAD WITH TWO BUTTON FOR MEDIUM CONCRETE

Regular price $43.69

- Aggressive metal-bond grinding pad for the first cutting pass — 30 grit is a recommended starting point for opening up the concrete, exposing medium-to-large aggregate, and removing coatings. Per Lavina's published guidance, contractors typically start with 14, 30, or 70 grit metals to open the slab before progressing through finer grits.

- Lavina X / S series Quick Change mounting — the new X-Quick Change trapezoid pads attach directly to the heads of Lavina X and S series machines with no special plates required. Important compatibility note: the new X-QC system is not cross-compatible with the previous Quick Change tooling designed for older Lavina PRO and SPS models, which use a separate plate system. Verify your Lavina machine generation before ordering.

- 2-button (double-segment) configuration for heavier machines — two diamond buttons per pad create more surface contact than a single-button, extending tool life and stabilizing the cut. Lavina recommends double-segment tools for grinders 30" and larger, where the extra contact patch helps the machine pull weight efficiently. Single-button pads cut faster on lighter machines under 25".

- Engineered for medium concrete (2,500–4,000 PSI) — per Lavina's official guidance, medium concrete is defined as 2,500–4,000 PSI, and the Grey bond is the recommended match. Lavina's color scheme is its own system distinct from other manufacturers: Yellow series for soft concrete, Grey for medium, Red/Gold/White for hard. Don't confuse with the Red = medium convention used by other tooling lines.

- Default 30-grit choice for typical commercial slabs — most commercial and residential concrete falls in the 2,500–4,000 PSI range that Grey is engineered for, making this the most-stocked pad on a Lavina-equipped truck. Run a Mohs scratch test if slab hardness is in question — if it tests above Mohs 7, step to a softer bond (Red, Gold, or White); if below Mohs 4, step to the harder Yellow series to avoid burning through pads.
